Lomé, January 17, 2024 – (©AfreePress) – Prosper Bassolé, Chief of Staff to the CEO of the EBOMAF group, was apprehended by armed individuals at his residence on the morning of Monday, January 15, 2024. Currently, his family and close associates have no news.
A few hours after this incident, the EBOMAF group spoke out to provide significant clarifications to shed light on this matter, both from the perspective of the Burkinabe public and the international community.
The group specified that « Mr. Prosper BASSOLÉ was arrested as a Burkinabe citizen and not in his capacity as Chief of Staff to the CEO of the EBOMAF Group. His arrest has no connection to the position he holds within the company. »
This is a crucial clarification from the EBOMAF group regarding the arrest of the Chief of Staff to its CEO.
Even though the arrest of Mr. Prosper BASSOLÉ, Chief of Staff to the CEO of the EBOMAF Group, was confirmed on Monday, January 15, 2024, at his residence by armed individuals without any reasons being provided, it is crucial to emphasize that he was apprehended as a Burkinabe citizen and not because of his role as Chief of Staff to the CEO of the EBOMAF Group.
His arrest should not in any way be associated with his role within the EBOMAF Group. Furthermore, it is important to note that Mr. BASSOLÉ does not currently hold and has never held the position of Director of the EBOMAF Foundation.
Therefore, the arrest of Mr. BASSOLÉ should not lead to confusion by linking any communication on this unfortunate situation to the image of the EBOMAF Group, including the company’s logo.
